Port of Skagen

Port of Skagen is an active industrial harbour where the fish-processing industry, the shipyard and service industries play a major role. Activities concerned with the fishing industry constitute the core business areas, thus establishing a background for the trade of cargo such as fish oil, fishmeal and fuel for diverse types of vessels.

The harbour wishes to strengthen its position as Denmark's leading fishing harbour – and we intend to position Port of Skagen as a player within other areas pertaining to the maritime market. Hence, the long-term goal will be the establishment of a balanced development of the harbour areas and facilities in relation to our customers' requirements and the harbour's potential.

In addition, Port of Skagen intends to develop new business areas; thus, the most recent extension of the harbour represents a total of 75,000 square metres vacant for commercial purposes –with direct access to the quay.

However, Port of Skagen is also a harbour with many other facets – thus the calling of cruise ships and activities of an experiencing nature are mirrored in the central part of the harbour. Here activities making life worthwhile take place near the town in close connection with those of the harbour's business activities that contribute to attracting a large number of guests to the harbour all year round.
