Trawl-Stretch / Wire-Stretch / Warehouse for Trawler Equipment

At the port of Skagen which is Denmark's larges fishing port, it is of utmost importance to offer modern facilities to our customers. The increasing size of trawlers and notfartøjer requires much from the infra-structure and the facilities at the port.

In close dialogue with the users of the port, a new  area of 4000 m2 was dedicated to trawl-stretching in 2007.  The area is placed directly at the pier at the East Bassin 1, where the water depth is large. Furthermore, there is a large area for tralw-stretching at the old pier which is mostly used for edible fish and shrimp trawlers.

At the west side of the port a paved area is available for local and out of town fishermen for warehousing of trawl equipment. Quite a few fishing companies have also chosen to establish warehouses at this area.  Wire-stretching is also possible at this area with fixed blocks at the pier and a long pier at which the wire may be stretched. All in all good working conditions.
